Published on September 19, 2012

Twitter just unveiled some new updates for iOS and Android apps, which come right in time with the new iOS 6 release tomorrow, which is deeply integrated with Twitter. The iPad app has received a nice revamped update and you can now do landscape mode with Twitter. Along with mobile app updates, Twitter updated Twitter.com to an updated design that gives the user the choice of utilizing it or staying with what they have now.

New Twitter Profile Design

The new design allows for the Twitter user to upload pictures to a photo widget that is displayed on the left, with a main header picture on the right, which is totally customizable. The photo widget is made to display recent images that have just been uploaded. The new mobile apps are designed to take full advantage of the new profile theme and is almost a sister display to the new Facebook theme.

If you would like to utilize this new profile design, follow the directions below

You want to start by visiting Settings and selecting the Design Tab. In this menu, scroll down to the Customize your own section. This is where you can upload your own header image which is recommended to be 1252 x 626, with a max upload size of 5mb. After you do that, all you have to do is save your changes and you are ready to enjoy your new profile design. After you install this design and you feel this is just not for you, than you can just go back into your settings and trash the header pic, or change it to your likings.
